Most people know 3 things about me:

1. My favorite color is RED. I have so much red in my closet that it’s RIDICULOUS….LOL.

2. I absolutely love LSG (Gerald Levert-RIP, Keith Sweat (that voice does something to me), and Johnny Gill  (MY MY MY is one of my all-time favorites and the title of today’s blog).

3. I love buying matching lingerie.

Today’s Topic: Little Red Dress.

Nothing is more powerful or bold than a nice red dress. It demands attention. A pretty red dress with a nice pair of heels will make any girl feel like a superstar. But what about a red nightie???? I think we have lost the art of wearing feminine bed clothes as well. What better way to feel PRETTY, SENSUAL, and BOLD than to have a nice wardrobe of nighties or négligées?

Nerd Time:

Accoridng to Wikipedia:  The negligee (or négligée, French: négligé, literally meaning “neglected”) is a form of womenswear intended for wear at night and in the bedroom. It is a form of nightgown;  first  introduced in France in the 18th-century, where it mimicked the heavy head-to-toe style of women’s day dresses of the time. By the 1920s it began to mimic women’s satin single-layer evening dresses of the period. Modern negligees are often much looser and made of sheer and semi-translucent fabrics and trimmed with lace or other fine material, and bows. Multiple layers of fabric are often used. The modern negligee thus perhaps owes more to women’s fine bedjackets or bed-capes, and up-market slips than to the nightgown. It spread to a mass market, benefitting from the introduction of cheap synthetic fabrics such as nylon and its finer successors. From the 1940s to the 1970s, the trend was for negligees to become shorter in length (e.g. the babydoll of the 1970s). Negligees made from the 1940s to the 1970s are now collectible vintage items.

According to one source négligés only make up 4% of all women’s nightwear sales.

SOOOOOOOO LADIES drop the flannel and put on a little LACE. I’m sure you will appreciate it and your man will enjoy the view. MY MY MY!!!!

Pretty Girl Rocks Dresses even at bed time……….LOL.
