Poetry Mondays-Here We Go Again

we were together at one time
we lost each other somewhere down the line
the pain of the separation
the horrid desperation 
i was dying inside, in no one would i confide
then one day to my surprise, the telephone rang
i heard you speak of the past and how it was good
i didn't know then if i should
allow you to draw me back in
but now that we're together again 
it's like a roller coaster ride 
here we go again
